Belonging — what does this mean to you? Mothers Day in Canmore, AB For me, this...
Read More52 Thoughts is a safe and quiet place for reflection.
For the thoughts that don’t always get said out loud. For the moments that shape us—at work, at home, and somewhere in between.
There’s a version of life many of us learn to manage well. We build careers. We show up for others. We keep things moving. From the outside, it works.
But underneath, there are questions. Small ones. Big ones. The kind that don’t always have immediate answers.
Am I doing enough?
Am I too much?
Am I… enough?
This space exists for those thoughts. To sit with them. To understand them. And, over time, to move forward with a little more clarity than we had before.
Each week, a new perspective.
Sometimes it’s a longer story. Sometimes it’s a short reflection. Sometimes it’s simply a moment worth pausing on.
These are drawn from real experiences—from work, from family, from growth, from rebuilding, from becoming.
They’re not instructions. They’re not answers. They’re reminders that you’re not the only one thinking what you’re thinking.
Weekly Stories From Lived Experience.
If you’ve spent years showing up—for your career, your family, your responsibilities—and you’re starting to ask different questions now…
If you’ve navigated change, quietly carried weight, or found yourself in a season of transition…
If you’re learning, maybe for the first time in a long time, to listen to your own voice again…
You’ll feel at home here.
Fifty-two weeks. Fifty-two perspectives.
Not because every week has a perfect answer—but because every week offers something worth holding onto.
I created 52 Thoughts as a space to reflect more honestly on life, growth, work, relationships, and the thoughts we often carry quietly.
After more than twenty years in IT and marketing, alongside raising a family and navigating my own seasons of change, I found myself wanting a place to slow down, write, and better understand what I was learning along the way.
These posts are not about having all the answers. They’re simply reflections shaped by lived experience—offered in the hope that someone else might feel a little more seen, understood, or less alone. Weekly Stories From Lived Experience
One thought at a time. One week at a time.
For me, this has evolved into being seen and heard.
It means accepting myself as human, someone with a mixture of strengths, flaws, emotions, experiences, and personality traits, and allowing myself to simply BE me. Vulnerable, authentic, growing, and imperfect. It also means creating space for others to do the same.
One of the gifts of time is the ability to reflect on the choices my husband David and I have made, and how our understanding of belonging changes throughout life, from childhood, to young adulthood, to motherhood and beyond.
Along the way there have been lessons, cycles, successes, and moments that were far more difficult than expected.
